Violinist Mizuki Takagi had her official recital debut at the age of 15 performing the Bruch Concerto in G minor, and has since appeared as soloist with Peninsula Youth Symphony and Palo Alto Philharmonic performing Ravel's Tzigane.  She is also the winner of the Music Teachers' Association of California's VOCE branch competition, as well as a Mondavi Young Artists Competition Semifinalist, and has served as concertmaster for Peninsula Youth Orchestra for years.  She was given full scholarship to attend the prestigious Conservatoire Américain of the Ecoles d'Art Américaines in Fontainebleau, France and has since taught at Capriccio Music Festival as a part of the faculty.  Mizuki began her musical studies at the age of 5 in Michigan, and later moved to the Bay Area and studied music with renowned violin teacher Jenny Rudin. She recently finished her Bachelor of Arts degree as a violin performance major at University of California, Los Angeles studying with both Movses Pogossian and Guillaume Sutre.   Starting in the fall, she will be attending the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music, a school part of California State University, Long Beach, to study with Henry Gronnier and Moni Simeonov and receive her Master's degree in violin.
